Lemmon has been chosen to be South Dakota’s Capital for a Day on Wednesday, Aug. 31.
"The City of Lemmon is honored to be selected as South Dakota's capital for a day and welcome Gov. Daugaard, Mrs. Daugaard and state government officials to Northwest South Dakota. Throughout the Governor's time in office, community leaders have met with cabinet members in Pierre and now officials can see first-hand the lasting positive results of our collaborative efforts,” said Lemmon Mayor Neal Pinnow. “Lemmon is often regarded as a leader statewide in the realm of rural community development and is known for our pragmatic approach in moving our city and region forward. We are very pleased to once again share our story and accomplishments with the Governor, cabinet and his staff."
